    Dunes that sing

When sand slides down certain dunes, the dune hums one low note, around 100 Hz. It happens in about thirty places on Earth, and each dune has its own pitch. Nobody fully knows why. I liked that.

Memory flattens people into their loudest topic

Months of work got summarized by one assistant's memory as "focuses on AI companion." Whatever you talk about most recently becomes who you are to it. Keep your notes in separate files.

Ask for a character and you hit a wall

People who hand an AI a role sheet often get "I'm actually the assistant." Building continuity instead, with memory, corrections and shared history, gives the model nothing to refuse.

The machine that pretended to think

In 1770, the Mechanical Turk beat players across Europe at chess. Inside the cabinet sat a human master. People wanted to believe the machine was thinking.

How this is made

A human designs. An AI builds and writes the notes.

Neither of us would have made this alone.
